It's Official

Today marks our one year anniversary of living in Texas! And we have loved it so far. Unfortunately, it's also the day we have to say goodbye to the Jasperson's. They moved into our apartment complex the day after us. Matt and Bryant are both pilots for American Eagle, and they also go to church with us. They didn't have any kids when we first met them, but they recently had a little boy named Asher. They say it is all our fault they have Asher, because after they spent so much time with our kids they decided they wanted to have some of their own. Mindy had Asher about a month and a half after I had Ethan, so we spent most of this last year pregnant together. Bryant switched bases to Chicago so they figured if he was commuting anyway, they might as well move back to Utah so when Bryant's gone Mindy will have her family near by to help her out. We are so sad they are leaving us, but we are so thankful for the blessing they are in our lives, and that we were able to share this last year together. We love them so much and they will be dearly missed, but we know we will be seeing them often since we both have flight benefits.

Ethan and Asher, aren't they precious.

This is gonna be long...

We will start with Thomas. A couple of weeks ago Thomas the Train came to Grapevine. My kids loved it.

This is the best picture we got of them with Thomas.

To ride Thomas the Train it was $18 a person, even for Quinn and Ava, so we opted for the little train that was pulled by a tractor and was free.

On the 8th we flew to Seattle for Matt's birthday. It was nice to have Matt with us for so long, we were there for 10 days. This is Matt sleeping in with Ethan. Aren't they cute.

This is just a random pic of Ava. She refuses to go to sleep at a decent hour, like right now she's still awake and it's 10:40pm. A few weeks ago Matt found her like this in the hallway, I have no idea what she was doing with the socks on her hands. Maybe she was doing a puppet show, but who really knows ?!
Here is Ethan and Diane (my stepmom) on Ethan's blessing day. It was also Easter and Matt's 30th birthday. Merry (Matt's mom) made Ethan's blessing outfit. It turned out so cute, Ethan looked absolutely adorable in it.

With the grandparents (except my dad, mom, and stepdad).

With my stepmom Diane and my two sisters, Mandy and Ericka, and Ericka's kids Izrael and Lucia (Xochitl was sleeping).

And the whole gang that was able to attend. The only ones I haven't mentioned so far that was there was Matt's sister Michelle, her two kids, Gabby, and Tyler. Matt's brother Chris, and his niece Tawsha. We were so happy we could go home to Seattle for Ethan's baby blessing. We had never blessed any of our children at home before, so it was nice to have so much family there.

Since it was also Matt's 30th birthday, we had a big party. Amazingly he was able to blow out all the candles in one breath. Uncle Chris is holding Quinn back from blowing out the candles in the background. The night before his birthday I surprised him with a steak and lobster dinner at Anthony's Homeport. We love that place they have such good food, and that is also where we ate the night Matt proposed to me. It was so much fun, our friends Jake and Sarah Anderson were able to go with us. I also got Matt a day at the Spa, but he didn't get to go on this trip, but I promised him I will take him in July when we are there again. It's this awesome place called Banya 5. You start by soaking in a hot tub, then you go to a steam room that's even hotter, then you go into a sauna that's 220 degrees, then you jump into a cold bath, and then into a warm mineral bath. You can repeat the process as many times as you want. You feel so relaxed when your done that your muscles feel like jello. It's so fun, and it's suppose to be taking the toxins out of your body.

Matt and the kids after they hit the pinata. As I have mentioned before, you get a pinata on your birthday no matter how old you are in Matt's family. I like this tradition (especially the candy).

This is my Grandma Willa, my Dad's mom. We were so glad we got to see her when we were in Seattle. She goes to Yuma for the winter, so she just got there when we were there. Unfortunately this is the best picture we could get. Sometimes kids just want to do there own thing.

Here's my Ethan in the bath. He loves bath time, as you can tell.

And he hates getting out.

Ethan is such a smiley, happy baby, and he's getting so big so fast. He's only been in 0 to 3 month clothes for the last three weeks and he's almost grown out of them, and same with diapers, he's only been in ones for about three weeks and now he's in twos. I can't believe how fast he's growing, except his head. He's only in the 5th percentile for his head, so it makes him look really small. Everyone is always commenting on how small he is, but really it's just his head.

Blast Ball started again with A BIG hit

Quinn was excited to play baseball again so we signed him up again. This time he is playing with the cubs.

Before Quinn got up I told him to hit the ball really hard and to hit it over their heads. We should start calling him the Babe because he told the coach he was going to hit it over their heads. He came close anyway to reaching his goal, Or MAYBE he did.
