So we haven't been up to much lately, we are getting ready to leave for most of the month of July to Denver and then to Seattle. I wish it was August we were leaving for because everyone keeps telling us that's the hottest month of the year and September isn't much better. Oh, well, I guess we better get used to it, we just stay in our air conditioned house, but we did just get our electric bill and it was double what we payed in Utah. So a little bit of A/C, a lot of fans, and if anyone wants some visitors for the month of August just let us know!
A proud moment for me, my children are dipping their pizza in ranch dressing, I taught them well.
Look mom! My mom can do anything with any ones hair, she's very talented that way, I on the other hand am a work in progress, but this is a pic of Ava's hair for church yesterday. It's getting better, my parts still need some work, but it can be a little challenging sometimes when Ava's flailing her head around like a mad women.
My handsome boy, he's getting so big.
And my beautiful girl, I still treat her like my little baby, but she's getting so big too.

Wrinkly feet and Quinn falls asleep
Check out these wrinkly feet! We went to the botanical gardens and let the kids play in the fountain, Ava's shoes and socks got soaked and by the time we got home and took them off this is what her feet looked like. Click on the picture and you can really get a good look. Crazy!
So Quinn has decided to stop taking naps this week. It's been pretty good so far, he usually falls asleep about 7pm and sleeps through the night. This video is from last night, I guess we need to start eating dinner a little earlier .....
Isn't it hilarious how quickly he perks up at the mere mention of the FHE treat? It did help that it was marble cake with chocolate frosting, Quinn loves anything with chocolate. Every time I watch this video I laugh hysterically.

Festivals, Ikea, fire ants and more.....
Matt went on his first over night trip the other day. He's enjoying flying and we love living under the same roof with him again (for the most part). He's so handsome in his pilot uniform.
We took the kids to Main Street Days. It was one of the coolest festivals I've ever been too. They had a lot to do there and the kids loved it. Texas is big into there festivals, we can't wait to go to another one.
The kids first ride together, they loved it, and Ava didn't freak out at all.
Our first trip to Ikea. Wow this store is amazing, I could spend all day in there. And you gotta love the play area for the kids. Genius!Ava was too little to go to the play area so she hung out with us, she especially liked the beds, she got into almost all of them and even talked our sweet friend Mindy into joining her in one of them.

The Tams warned us about fire ants, but unfortunately Ava and I have both been a victim to there burning bite. We were on a walk at the park and Ava stepped right into an ant hill. Thankfully she only got a couple bites, but they were red and swollen for days and then scabbed over. Poor little Mava Mae.
This is how I found Quinn today, I laid him down in his bed for a nap, but apparently he got back up pushed two chairs together (because that's more comfortable?) and cuddled up to his bunny and conked out. I can't wait to show this picture to his girlfriend someday.
We took the kids and Matt's mom to see the Dallas temple a few weeks ago. It is such a beautiful temple, in the back of this pic you can see the stone it's made of. It's gorgeous.
