Back from the Caribbean and to the Adolphus

The new aircraft that Im flying in Dallas is also flown out of Miami and San Juan, P.R. Last week I was sent to Miami to do a couple of flights to Havana, Cuba. Unfortunately, we're not allowed past the airport so I couldn't explore it, but I can say Ive been to Cuba. Its interesting because the plane will leave Cuba with not very much luggage, but return completely full. You'll see passenger wearing multiple layers of clothes to get all this stuff back to Cuba. All the luggage is plastic wrapped as well. I asked another pilot who was from there why its wrapped like that and its to prevent baggage handlers from putting their hands in the bags and taking things.

The View from the 15 floor of my room in San Juan situated right on this 2 mile long beach.

After I went to Miami, I got sent to San Juan to fly to different Islands in the Caribbean. It was a blast. The way my trips were setup I was able to have a lot of free time to just lounge at the beach. I spent three nights in San Juan, one night in Trinidad which the night we got there Carnival had just started, and one night in Grenada which was amazing. the hotel was a small all inclusive resort on the beach. unfortunately we got in late and had to leave early.

During my trip I also flew to St. Croix (US virgin islands), Nevis, and Santo Domingo.
Next week I get to go back and do a couple flights to the Bahamas.
Unfortunately I was laying on the beach in San Juan by myself during our anniversary. But when I return the next day, Christina had setup babysitting and a night out to the Adolphus hotel which is one of Dallas' most prestigious hotels built back in 1912 and has the number one ranked hotel restaurant in the country. We didn't eat there because it would have cost us more to eat there than the room cost us, but we did go to a fabulous seafood restaurant next door.
